Dr Dominic Aouad

Dr Dominic Augustine Aouad

Dominic’s general interests include family, exercise, playing piano and community involvement as demonstrated by his active role on the Australian Dental Association and volunteer work completed in Australia and East Timor. Dominic currently sits on the Federal Dental Education and Training Committee and is a Board Director of the Australian Dental Association (NSW Branch) where he enjoys contributing to the cutting edge of dentistry.

Dominic graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery attaining the Moore Medal and the Pierre Fauchard Scholarship rewarding academic excellence and outstanding contribution to the school. Dominic has developed a special interest in cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery and dental implants. He also enjoys completing cosmetic dental cases improving his patients smile. In 2014 Dr Brett Dorney, a mentor of Dominic’s, asked him to take over the care of his patients at Dentists at Pymble. Dominic has since continued to care for those patients and welcome many new ones to the practice as well.

Dominic’s interest in dentistry stemmed from fracturing his front tooth on the bottom of the family swimming pool that subsequently required a large amount of restorative work including a root canal therapy and and crown. Dominic found it so interesting that he decided to pursue a dental career himself which he finds very rewarding.

Dominic thoroughly enjoys working with his patients to improve their oral health, and in turn, their quality of life. As more research discovers a link between general health and oral health, the focus Dominic places on improving his patients health is inspiring.

Dominic is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists and a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy. These fellowships were awarded to Dominic based on his ongoing contribution to excellence in dentistry and his ongoing contribution to the wider community.

Dominic is a kind and gentle dentist who always places his patients first.
