Dr. Mena has been a dedicated dental practitioner since 2003, after earning her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Otago in New Zealand. Since then, she has built a thriving career in private practice in Australia, earning a reputation for her compassionate, patient-centred approach and high standards of clinical care.
As one of our senior dentists, Mena provides comprehensive dental care for patients of all ages, always delivered with a warm, personal touch. A mother of two, she brings a naturally gentle and caring manner to her work, helping even the most anxious patients — especially children — feel calm and at ease during their visits.
Dr. Mena takes a holistic approach to dental care, recognizing the vital connection between oral health and overall wellbeing. She is particularly focused on supporting patients with chronic health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, asthma, osteoporosis, depression, and cancer, ensuring their oral health is managed in tandem with their broader medical needs.
Her clinical interests include smile makeovers and dental implants, and she has undertaken advanced training in both fields. Mena is also highly experienced in managing dental trauma and an advocate of injury prevention through custom fitted mouthguards. She is frequently seen teaching mouthguard fabrication to fellow dentists and dental students at the University of Sydney.
Outside of dentistry, Mena enjoys spending quality time with her family and going on long nature walks. She is also an active member of her children’s school Parents’ Association, where she plays a hands-on role in organising various charity events.
